Each of these artists, known for their strong and highly personal work,
will demonstrate techniques of wheel throwing, handbuilding, and
surface decoration. In addition to Raku firing there wil be a Saltku kiln
built and fired. Also explored will be lifecasting from the human body.

This will be a great opportunityto work with the artists and have an
indepth rapore concerning the mechanics and aesthetics of potery
making and clay sculpture.

There will be lodging for up to 16 people here at the Raven Center for the Arts.
There are also some very nice camping sites along the spring fed streamhere at the center.

This area of the Ozarks is known for its many geologic formations, including
the largest springs in North America. The nearby Current River is perhaps
one of the most beautiful in the nation, with the widest variety of plant life
than any other state.
The clay deposits here are also of great variety, ranging from dark reds to
pure white kaolins. You are encouraged to do a bit of your own prospecting.
